Early voting starts today and without question, it is the most important election of our lifetime. Your vote gives you the power to help decide the future of our country and have impact on issues that matter to you. Our democracy is strongest when everyone participates. I urge you to make a voting plan today. You can vote in one of the three following ways:
Vote by Mail
If you qualify, voting by mail is a safe and secure way to cast your ballot. To vote by mail in Harris County you must be registered to vote and meet one of the following criteria:
To vote my mail, you must return a completed application to the County Clerk’s office by October 23rd. Your application can be mailed or dropped off in person. For more information, click here.
Once you receive and complete your ballot, you can mail it back to the Harris County Clerk’s office or drop it off in person at NRG Arena during early voting hours (see below) or on election day. Your ballot must be inside the official envelope provided to you. If you drop off your ballot in person, you will need to present an acceptable form of photo identification. You can track the status of your ballot here. If you have any questions about how to fill out your mail-in ballot, call 713-755-3150 for assistance.
If you were sent a mail-in ballot but prefer to vote in person, take your vote by mail ballot to a polling location to surrender it and receive a regular ballot. If you do not have the mail-in ballot with you, you may still vote in person using a provisional ballot.
