Don’t miss our fifth annual State of the District Luncheon. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, February 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hobby Airport Doubletree Hotel.
Business owners and community members are invited to join us for an afternoon celebrating and supporting the Hobby Area District. Our annual luncheon will review the District’s many accomplishments over the past year and highlight the importance of our social and economic development partners and their impact on the vitality of our region.
Under the leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Danny Perkins, the Hobby Area District has adopted the mission of establishing itself as an attractive, connected, celebrated and talented place to invest and live, and of becoming a place where commerce and community thrive.
Following presentations in years past from METRO Houston’s Tom Lambert, Rice University’s Dr. Stephen Klineberg, Greater Houston Partnership’s CEO and President, Bob Harvey and Jeff Moseley (formerly serving on the Texas Transportation Commission), we will be joined this year by our keynote speaker, Mayor Sylvester Turner, for an exciting discussion of developments in the Hobby Area District and how they contribute to the big things happening in the City of Houston. We truly value Mayor Turner’s commitment to the City of Houston, specifically those communities that are underserved, which has become part of his administration’s legacy.
Individual tickets to State of the District are $50 each and can be purchased from Eventbrite. If your business is interested in sponsoring a table at State of the District ($500-$2,000), please email firstname.lastname@example.org.Get Your Tickets
