Kenneth Morris has been a big supporter of the Hobby Area Management District’s HobbyFest, and he had a big announcement to make today. His role with Universal Elite Aerospace has been introducing young Houstonians to the field of aviation and more for years, but now it’s time for him to expand his educational reach. We are proud to share his recent announcement here on our website.
From Kenneth Morris:
I am honored to inform you that I recently accepted the position of Director of Aviation Education and Outreach for the new $38 million Lone Star Flight Museum and S.T.E.M. Learning Center at Ellington Field.
If you know much about the long, oftentimes very difficult road it took for me to reach this particular point, it resonates even more to NEVER give up on whatever it is you are passionate about and love! I hope to pass this message on to our youth and young adults. This is a phenomenal opportunity for the students I have interacted with and the thousands more that we plan to positively engage. I cannot thank those that have supported me over the past few years with Universal Elite Aerospace and it is because of you that I am able to continue to lead such an important and much needed endeavor for our young people.
My role in this new position is to develop and execute the entire educational curriculum and programming for the entire museum effecting 1.7 million youth throughout Region 4 and beyond. I am developing female focused STEM programs, Leadership Academies, Aviation Exploration Visits and much more!
I cannot express my excitement enough to be blessed to be part of such an amazing and innovative venture and I am giving you my word that I will work even harder to help to inspire, motivate and give hope to every student we come in contact with while exposing them to the many wonderful career choices in aviation. “For our kids to want to BE something different, they have to SEE something different.”
