Scenic Houston and Hobby Area Distrcit Beautify Broadway

Categories: Community,Events

Scenic Houston and Trees for Houston, in partnership with the Hobby Area Management District and the Gulfgate TIRZ, began planting over 400 new live oak trees along Broadway, complementing the new pedestrian crosswalks and landscaping. The trees are part of the new “signature corridor” design along Broadway. This project is an important investment, not just for District I, but for the entire City, creating a critically important new “Welcome to Houston” gateway for visitors travelling through Hobby and a “Welcome Home” for all our neighbors who live in the area.

Thank you to Scenic Houston, Trees for Houston, the Hobby Area Management District and the Gulfgate TIRZ for making this all possible.

I was pleased to support this effort using District I Service funds.
